If you are in the UK your treatment is free on the NHS. Ideally your GP will prescribe Tenofovir for life, to make sure your viral load is zero/undetectable. All the time your viral load is above zer/detectable your liver will be inflamed and more likely to develop fibrosis, followed by cirrhosis, followed by a high risk of HCC liver cancer. You cannot cure Hepatitis B but you can reduce its risk to your health greatly with this anti viral treatment.
At the same time you should make sure your nearest and dearest are vaccinated with the Hep B vaccination to protect them, and make sure you dont share personal items such as razors, toothbrushes etc. Also do not have unprotected sex as Hep B can be transmitted via sexual intercourse.
