Brushed my hand against pallet board creation (basically wood we used to make a DIY baby gate) and now worried about tetanus
So I was closing the baby gate and I just kinda brushed my hand over it enough to cause a rash and a small few splinters, since the wood isn’t new I’m worried. It wasn’t a deep wound, just a small surface scrape/rash? My last tdap was 2006 so I got worried as heck (and still am) so I made my way to urgent care to get it check out. The lady at the front desk looked at it and basically said as a friend I’m gonna give you friendly advice I don’t think you need to have it checked out but said if I wanted to I could she said just keep an eye on it for a few days. Should I be worried still or not? Since she didn’t seem to be herself and even had her co-worker look at it and she said the same. I just have terrible anxiety and my panic attack won’t go away.
Cuts are one thing I don't worry about. I did some very stupid things and never got sick...yet. Rusy nails, raw sewage lines, stagnate water, worked around it all. Now if I just get rid of all my other irrational fears. Take care, hope you get better soon.
Hi there, I know it's easier said than done but I don't think you need to to worry about it. Is there anything else that could of triggered your reaction? Here if you need me, Donna x
I'd like to reply to this but you may have sorted it by now. We usually have a tetanus injection in third year secondary school. Sometimes the doctors used to suggest boosters. Tetanus was a worry when I worked on a farm and on a reserve although I have never heard of anyone having this. I've heard that it's an infection in the blood and can be called lock jaw.
