I have RA and my mum has re-occurring bouts of PMR. Does anyone know if there is a hereditory connection? Mtntion it to my consultant and he just hummed and said "right". Thanks
I have had a look into this and it seems that they were investigating the potential connection in the early 90s but nothing since, which suggests that they haven't found anything.
Thanks for that. I suppose everything is connected in one way or another. A lot of medical things are strange. My daughter has vitiligo really bad, and most people think it only happens to black people. Interesting really x
My friend has vitiligo [she's white] and an underactive thyroid. They say that once you have one autoimmune disease, you are more likely to develop another. I have 3 auto immune diseases.
I once said to the doctorsr who are looking after me, that I would be very interesting if it wasn't me!!
