Herpes at the top of my mons pubis? Please help!

I apologize for the pubic hair. I am not currently sexually active.

This is at the top of my vagina. i first noticed it two days ago. i am afraid to shave the hair; i dont want to spread the infection.

from what you can see does this resemble herpes on day 4-5? PHOTOS IN COMMENTS

it could possibly be irritation from scratching. Its my understanding that herpes are painful to the touch? is that the case?

It it tender but its not super painful. I am headed to the doctor this afternoon and will post an update. Im pretty embarassed right now…
