Hiya,i pick up herpes 4 years go..and yes i couldn't bealive that is me,i cryed nd i was in depression for quite a while but i had to move on because was only my fault.Anyways if things were that simple uff i would be jumping for happiness but is not the case....since the second outbreak i started to have a severe irritation at the entrace and..labia minor (i don't know if thats the correct name)sometimes i have an itchy and of course pain...like you can't touch the area because is so so sensitive and will split(when i first had this i did the mistke to have sex with my husband and wow i couldn't do it more then 50 sec and quess what the skin there was so inflamated and all split like somebody came with a knife and cut it off)lso i have anal irrittion and fissure like 2-3 times per week specially after i go to the toilet.I started the suppresion medicine because i would simply hve outbreaks each month just when my menstruation will come...i'm on that for almost 2 months but i just got another outbreak and yes i'm in my period...is this normal?takes time till the pill makes the effect?Also its somebody who has these constant symptoms that i'm having ...because it simply destroy my life for the last4 years i couldn't have sex with my husband,i tried a medicine called amyptriline the doctor says is for nerve pain but that did not work out for me.I would love if somebody read this and answer because i'm alone with no help and none of the doctor that i went actually bother with me ,its like they don't care in fact they have the attitudine like i'm mental or like i don't love my husband...its simply amazing and i don't know where to go,in wich way to go and at what doctor because i can't deal with this pain and with these problems.
Valeri, I am so sorry to read about your problems and how you aren't getting appropriate help.
I would suggest that you [and your husband if he will come with you] go to the local GUM [Genito urinary medicine] clinic. It will be at your local hospital and you can generally walk in without making an appointment. Google it and you will find a telephone number, you can telephone them and ask for their opening hours.
The Doctors there are used to your sort of problems and are probably better than your GP. They can prescribe whatever is necessary for you.
Amitriptyline is an antidepressant, so won't help with your sore labia.
Try the GUM clinic
Hi i tryed the GUM several time and they say that the constant symptoms that i'm having has nothing to do with herpes condition....they gave me aciclovir for herpes condition to take it for 6-12 months because i was having outbreaks nearly ech month but i'm taking these pills for almost 2 months and...i'm just having other outbreak...for the other symptoms that i'm having i.e burning,itchy,severe irritation and pain they can't help because... they have no idea what can be and for over then 4 eyars they pass me like this to the gp and the gp to GUM without no help and i feel that gradully my condition its getting worse.Obsly the gp and gum can;t help me and i'm wasiting my time going there honest.I'm thking to go provate and mybe doctors will pay attention to my problems since at nhs doesn't bother
Have you tried ClotrimazoleHC? That is the generic name for Canesten HC, it ought to sooth you and possibly your husband should use it too
I was also thinking of washing powders and shower gels etc..
I remember years ago, we had a sample of Dove body wash through the door. I tried it and immediately became sore and itchy. At that time, I didn't know what I was allergic to but it was one of the ingredients in the body wash.
I subsequently discovered that I am allergic to formaldehyde and formaldehyde releasers. It was some cheap rubber gloves from Tesco that set me off. I also discovered that Swedish and Japanese car manufacturers don't use formaldehyde in the manufacturing process.
What do you use in the shower? You might find that something there is causing the problem.
