Hello, tomorrow I’m going to see the doctor but I thought I’d ask a few questions here first. So a month or so ago I developed some bumps on my penis that itches like ■■■■ for 3 days so I went to the doc and she said I had herpes and gave me Valtrex and it went away. Now it came up again a couple days ago and jump on the same meds right away but it hasn’t gotten better if anything it’s onkt worse. The itch is insane and never stops. I was wondering if someone has had a similar situation, and if so why didn’t the meds work and how do I help the itch?
Unfortunately sometimes it can take a bit for the outbreak to go away especially if it’s the first couple of outbreaks. Soooo I’m a female and if you were female I would say go buy some vagisil... lol it’s literslly just anti itch cream for sensitive areas and it has benzocaine in it to numb. Since you are a guy, I doubt you want to go buy vagisil. Haha. If you go to Walmart, Target, or a pharmacy. I recommend Walmart.. there is this stuff called dermoplast in a spray bottle. It works pretty well to numb areas and help the itch. It’s in a blue can with the first aid stuff usually. Also use ice if you can take it. Hope you feel better soon. Also for future reference tea tree oil can be a natural anti viral and can help prevent and shorten outbreak times but you MUST dilute it.... I am NOT joking. Dilute it very good or you will burn your skin off. I’m guilty of doing this once. Not fun. Dilute it well with water and use a cotton ball and dab around the areas. It will tingle a bit.
