Herpes on scrotum ?

First outbreak typical textbook case

Blood test:

hsv1 positive

hsv 2 negative (retested at 5th month also negative)

Current symptoms

Itchy burning scrotum with red patches and small 1mm pimples scattered around scrotum, constant for five months not cleared. Symptoms are not so obvious in the morning wake up time but get worst during the day

Medication:

Stopped acyclovir at 5th month. Itching and redness began

Acyclovir cream applied for 6 weeks nil help

Lamisil anti-fungal cream applied for 3 weeks nil help

Diflucan anti-fungal tablets taken orally nil help

Question:

1/ Does anyone get constant itching red scrotum ?

2/ How do you deal with it ?

I am really sick of this itching and redness.

Does not sound like herpes at all, as it is too constant and unchanging for too long. Your positive HSV1 result by blood does not mean that you have it genitally, and you probably don't. It only means that you carry it somewhere, and that somewhere is likely oral.

Hi Feliz, first of all, thankz for your help to calm me down. I went to government std disease hospital for check, they said it is neuro dermatitis, not herpes. They dont handle cases other than std so I went to private hospital the doctor said the same and gave me antihistamine medicine and anti inflammatory cream. I hope it can be cured. Thx again
