Hi. About a week ago I discovered a bump on the inner lip of my vagina. It was about the size of a pencil eraser and seemed to be under the skin. It was not colored and did not hurt. For five days it didn't change. Then I tried popping it (bad idea I know) and after trying first some white liquidy puss came out then some liquid then blood. So I stopped. The next day it looked awful and was really swollen. I left it alone for two days and now it's a little smaller. It doesn't look like a cut. When I put pressure on it it looks yellowish or whitish like there could be puss in it. It's sort of hard to the touch. It's a lot smaller than it was to begin with. I also have had burning when I pee and even when I'm not peeing but not burning or pain around the bump. I've had some white vaginal discharge and a smell. I think this is a yeast infection. Last night my mom got me an over the counter yeast infection one dose med and I used it. I also shave. My mom said i should not shave the inner lip of my vagina because it is sensitive and this bump could be from shaving. What I want to know is if this is herpes? I've only had sex with one person. I know herpes can be spread by oral. We haven't had oral in about 5 or 6 weeks and he had no cold sores then. I know condoms don't always protect against herpes but we also have used a condom every time and he has never had a genital breakout from my knowledge and never when we were together. Like I said I didn't feel sick before this no fever only one bump, it was there five days and did not hurt or change until I popped it. It's shrunk a lot since I popped it. And it is sort of hard to the touch. Not rock hard but firm. Does this sound like herpes or could it be from shaving. Would herpes pop like that? Would white puss type stuff come out of herpes? Would herpes decrease in size after this? And would herpes feel hard? If it was herpes wouldn't it have stayed open after I popped it instead of becoming a smooth bump again? I'm also freaking out now because I've had a headache all day and haven't felt the best but I just started my period last night so I think that is causing the headache and not feeling well but on top of that I'm completely freaking myself out and I feel like I'm worrying myself so much I'm making it worse. sounds like herpes herpes does look similar to yeast infection gives you a thick white discharge sometimes have a smell and it be really itchy sometime you get around 1or 2 bumps down there but mine herpes dont come in the form of bumps mine just look really red and raw skin
It doesn't sound like herpes from my own personal experience. I had bumps which could not be squeezed (I tried as I didn't know what the hell was happening to me!) It you shave you may have caused an ingrown hair which can cause a big lump and if you squeeze it pus could be excreted. You may also have thrush so it was worth taking the treatment for that. If you have no other symptoms I wouldn't worry too much but of course it's always worth getting checked out just to put your mind at rest. Let me know how you get on. Best of luck.
Thanks like I said any help is appreciated. Did it hurt when you tried to pop them? Mine didn't hurt I mean it didn't feel the greatest but it wasn't excruciating pain that I've read herpes has. My bump doesn't hurt if I press on it there's slight discomfort but like I said nothing bad and the size has decreased a lot and it's not even like an open wound. It's just smooth
I've had ingrown hairs where I've been able to pop them and get pus out and eventually the hair which was stuck but when I tried to pop my herpes sore nothing happened and I wasnt particularly sore at first. The next day however I could not have touched it for all the money in the world. The sores I had were agony. I was very tender and could barely walk. And they became open wounds which oozed. Honestly, you'll know if that happens. What you describe to me doesn't sound like herpes. Obviously only a doctor can tell if that's the case but it sounds like an ingrown hair to me.
Herpes can result in a smelly yellowish discharge.. It ia different for everyone. Keep on mind, bacterial vaginosis can cause smelly discharge, but usually you smell that during sex and is a fishy smell.
Are you referring to your inner lip, like on the side of your labia where the opening is or in the crease where your putter and inner lips meet?
One thing I've learned w herpes, there is no text book, one size fits all. This virus I've learned being on this forum and having herpes myself, presents itself in very different manners
My herpes sores never had pus ooze out really, but others have said theira do. I have had a red bump at the tip of my inner lip (the last ob I actually had on my vagina) and it looked like a hard red bump, eventually flesh colored and looked like something was inside and jt was just hanging around jt felt like. So I decides to squeeze it in hopes it'd go away faster and hard white stuff came out and sure enough, it started to go away.
Your symptoms don't sound like it, but I couldn't give a definitive no either. The only way you'll know hun, is if you go get tested. Keep in mind, there doesn't need to be a cold sore present to pass the virus on. Herpes 70% of the time is transmitted during asymptomatic shedding.
In all honesty, I don't think you have itand should stop worrying yourself. Are you itchy at all? If you're not, you could have BV, which is just your pH balance being thrown off, which I think is common w sex, especially when you're younger. I learned the hard way I was allergic to latex condoms and I kept getting recurring yeast and BV infections because of it.
1 bumb is not herpes probably a boil. I have herpes and it looks a lot like chicken pox. The bumps I get are a patch of them not 1 bump and they have clear liquid inside of these bumps it burns and itches like you never felt before. I highly doubt it's herpes because it really is irritating and itchy.
hey K490 that is so not true everyone herpes does not come in the same same form for one thing i have a ob right now theres ony one bump 2nd thing since i found out that i had herpes in november 11 2014 ive never had the white stuff on the inside everyone herpes does not have white stuff in it! everyones herpes come in different forms ive never had mine come in the form of a rash mine is always like one or 2 lesions down there and mine never has liquid on the inside
I found out I had herpes in Summer of 1985 30 years ago I have learned to live with herpes one cannot be sure what a few bumps are over an internet fourm. The way mine was diagnosed was a direct swap of the rash not a blood test. Blood test are usless I suggest instead of getting freaked out about a few bumps go to a doctor request a swab test of the actual bumps.
i had the swab test and blood test i had both of them and wow youve had it before i was even born i was born in 1992 of feb 12 i had abut 3 lesions down there
I've got blisters, a sore and it really hurts to urinate. I went to get tested two days ago and I'm freaking out. I have been 100%faithful with my partner, he shows no signs of herpes. I was given medication for bacterial vaginitis and am waiting for my results.
In all honesty what has it been like living with genital herpes? I'm deveststed. I feel so dirty and undesirable.
The blisters look like they are filled with a white/yellow pus. In the beginning they were small and clear. They are more towards the back of my vagina closer to my anus...what do you think?

Ok so I have need info too I have had sex with my boyfriend almost 2 months ago and when I shaved down there last night I noticed to small red bumps on the outer part of the vagina lip and I've never experienced this before its not painful at all it very small and just a light red going towards my normal skin color is this herpes or genital warts I do believe my boyfriend is clean and would tell me and he has busted inside me so does this mean that the bumps on my outter part of my lip are warts or herpes? I'm so scared

You have an ingrown hair that's all. Herpes is painful. You get really tired before an outbreak, well I do. Then itchy down there and then small blister like bumps in a cluster. Everyone is different but I don't think you have herpes

I was diagnosed with a UTI the first time I went to the hospital two days later I went back because I was in so much pain then they diagnosed me with (BV) today I went to my primary care doctor and she told me she thinks I have herpes but is sending the swab to be tested. I have two little sores that started as small cuts, it does burn when I urinare but not as bad as it did before I started the anti biotic they put me on for BV but one strange thing that is happening is my body is pouring out clear discharge non stop its like I'm constantly peeing my self but clear liquid has that happens to anyone else?
I know this isn't exactly helpful, but I'm experiencing something somewhat similar to you. A few days ago, I thought I had a yeast infection. Before that, my long-term boyfriend and I had sex, after which I felt a little more raw than usual. Later on I noticed a little abrasion, like a small cut, at the bottom of my vaginal opening. I ended up taking an otc med for the yeast infection, and it helped somewhat with my symptoms. A day later, the little abrasion looked more like a blister, and another had appeared on my inner labia. I also started having intense burning when urinating. By the end of the next day, I had more blisters/sores, horrifically painful urination, and large amounts of clear discharge, to the point that I have to change underwear constantly. I went to an urgent care clinic two days ago because my ob/gyn can't see me until next week and the doctor there said it didn't look like typical HSV but tested me and put me on valacyclovir as a precaution. Right now I'm in the worst pain I've ever felt, can barely walk, and can hardly sleep. This is miserable.
