Hi, i had swelling on my foreskin and glans with discharge unnder foreskin with painful urination and this started after 3 days of exposure and doctor gave me flucanzole, doxycline and antivirals. predicted to be balanoposthitis , after a month it got better and i went for lab test for hsv igm and igg, chlamydia, RPR, hiv, all these test came back negative but only my hsv igm was positive with 1.66 index. but then i ask my partner to get tested after 40 days from our intercourse. and she had positive chlamydia iga with 1.71 index and igg with 1.08 index, her hsv igg was positive with 1.66 index, and all her other test rpr, hiv came back negative. And, i tested myself for HSV IGG again after 42 days from my first test. which is now 10 weeks after infection and it came back negative as my earlier test. so i want to know whether i had bacterial infection or herpes? and is hsv igg test conclusive after 10 weeks ? bcoz my hsv igg is still negative even after 10 weeks after my infection and why my hsv igm was positive? cud it be any other infection. bcoz its says igm is not reliable and my lgm was very low.
