So every month since december, I've been getting this "irritation" during my period. I got tested for HSV but they lost my sample twice, and then third time it just didn't work. My gyno suspects contact dermatitis on the labia because of my pads, and folliculitis on the buttocks/thighs due to shaving regularly. She says it doesn't look like herpes but I'm skeptical. This is it at its worse, although in April I did get two cuts on the perineum. It's a little itchy on the labia but it isn't painful. These "outbreaks" usually start a couple days into my period and last 5-7 days total. I've also had this long cut above the clitoris that has been there for nearly 3 months now. Help?
i literally have the exact same thing including the cut. i went to the doctor and as soon as he looked he said its not HSV, my results should be back sometime this week. ive been doing tons of research tons of research and i think it looks like contact dermatitis … plus i have a yeast infection as well which would also make sense. ill keep you posted!
God I also have the occasional yeast infection that makes it worse. Please let me know what your results are! I’m still waiting for an appointment to get tested aaaaagain
Any news? I also took an appt for monday. hopefully they agree to an IGG blood test!
