Herpes or just a ingrown hair that went horribly wrong

I had a sex from a questionable lady about three weeks ago, used protection during vaginal but did not during oral. She did not have a copy sore but I understand that's not the only indicator.

I was depressed for two weeks and stressed because of a breakup and work. I lost some weight because I wasn't eating properly.

Two weeks later I get a cold, mild fever on the third night. Broke the fever and started to get better.

Two days later I get two bumps, one on my inner leg, small looks like an ingrown hair. The other is larger on my penis at the base near the pubic hair. I had not been shaving recently, thought it was an ingrown hair, it started getting larger, it wasn't a cluster of bumps just one and right behind it a lymph node swelling. Eventually the bump looked ready to pop and it was becoming extremely painful as my body was fighting off whatever it was. Pus and blood came out. I had to lance it because it just wasn't releasing all of the pus. The first night it seemed to help but I woke up and it was bigger, harder seemed to be cyst like now.

After a day took one clindamycin because I couldn't get to the clinic as I was out of state for a week and it was clearly infected. It doesn't seem to be a cluster of sores/blisters. The cyst part went down but the initial sore looks like it's getting worse. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow but could someone give me an idea of what it may be.

That's what it looked like after it first popped. There was no discoloration, and prior to it popping it wasn't white either just looked like one ingrown hair with a swollen lymph node. It got worse, and now seems to be going down.

Looks to me like ingrown hair. So, I'd suggest you wait a few more days up to a week to see how it turns out. In the mean time, use a tweezer to check for ingrown hair.

Where is the lymph node swelling? If you say the lady looked questionable, then you might want to get them check you out.

Did you wipe it down with a cloth or tissue and what color was the pus?

The pus was a yellowish white. And sometimes a darker yellowish white when mixed with blood

The lymph node was behind the initial swelling. Like right below it as there was a harder part of the skin that was swollen. It has gone down after a round of clindamycin. But it is still leaking pus and blood. I think it may be chancroid at the worst. But probably just an ingrown hair gone wrong

Thank you all of the advice, it's Monday now, now I can head to a clinic and get it checked out.

You're welcome. Wishing you luck.
