I first had a herpes outbreak on my penis 2 years ago. i had repeated outbreaks over 6 months until i was put on daily suppressive acyclovir, this has worked and ive had no outbreaks since. Ive not had a sexual partner since either. The problem now is i find it uncomfortable to masturbate, before herpes i could masturbate daily with no issues, with or without lube it wasnt a problem. when i was having the outbreaks at the start i felt like when i masturbated it was a trigger. i try to limit myself to masturbating once a week now, if its more often then it can become painful and uncomfortable, even with using lube. hard to explain but the area probably feels more dry / raw / than it should be, although to look at theres not really anything that looks wrong. i apply moisturiser quite regular, but it doesnt really help. does anyone have any ideas or have similar problem? any help appreciated
