Okay so everyone seems to be converting about how sore it is to pee but is anyone experience pain even just sitting still? I'm sitting watching tv and I could cry with the pain I'm in. I don't know if the healing process is making it more painful or if it's more blisters forming?
I don't have a single blister and yet I'm on excruciating pain. I think I have what it's called PHN. I feel like all my skin is sunburnt and extremely sensitive. I can't even sit properly. In addition my lower back is extremely painful. This has being going on for 3 weeks now. After my second outbreak wich coasted of only one sore that healed in 2 days.
The existing blisters aggravate the nerve endings. I tend to have a lot of pain at night just from the pressure of sitting and standing all day. If you have access to Valcyclovir it shortens the outbreak. I am now on 1000 mg per day to prevent outbreaks and 3000 mg per day during one.
They put me on axiclovir 200mg 5 times a day
I hope it will keep you break out free. Until recently, I did not realize that these higher doses were being prescribed
Yes I also had excruciating pain constant whether I sat or stood finally a dr prescribed me lidocaine cream it will sting a little when applied but omg the relief was great.
