Has anybody had Herpes Simplex Virus of the eye and if so, how was it diagnosed and then treated?

I honestly dont know. I wouldnt think so, but I am seeing my 6th specialist tomorrow so lets see what they say I have.
About 4 years ago, my Ophthalmologists told me that the latest thinking about my eye condition, Fuchs' Heterochromic Cyclitis, is that it is triggered by the Herpes virus. I had had Chcken pox as a baby, shingles at 12 and Glandular Fever at 18 but amazingly, have never had a cold sore. They put me on Aciclovir twice a day, for the rest of my life. My uveitis doesn't flare up quite as frequently as it used to but it still flares and I have to use steroid drops.
One of the Ophthalmologists told me that if I had had a herpetic virus in my eye, I wouldn't feel the tissue he used to touch my eye.
What symptoms do you have?
