I have been sure I have herpes following sex with a partner 8 months ago. I have bad mouth sores inide my cheek and inner lip and genital redness (stinging but no blisters to swab). I had an early blood test and it was negative and since then I have had three more igg blood test (last one 4 weeks ago) but all negative. My partner also tested negative but I can't get it out of my head that it is herpes. Should I just trust the test and move on... I feel stuck with no explanation for my symptoms
Thank you
Lucy
Could be something else if you keep getting negative test you should be very thankful , depending on the type of herpes you have you will get some type of symptoms .
If you don't have any blisters or white bumps like then i wouldn't think its genital wise ...
But if you keep coming back negative and so is your partner .. Then you don't have it.
Count your blessings Hun this is not a virus to play with
Thank you Koolred I was so sure it was herpes and now my mind is full of stuff telling me the results are wrong...Really appreciate you replying to me so quickly xx
Perhaps the genital redness is an irritant of some sort. New perfume soap laundry detergent lubes lotions....???
I am highly sensitive in my female parts. I cant douche or use body sprays makes me itch. But i was that way before my diagnosis of HSV2 on 12.22.15
Good luck and thank goodness your tests are negative.

In my expirence herpes will cause a painful, swollen, and very blistery rash that you will feel everytime you move, or pee.
There are people that get mild syntoms that are mistaked for other things like razor rash, but even then there are noticeable bumps.
If you and your partner both came back negetive, id trust that you don't have it 💋
Hey Josiphine
