Is a type specific test for HSV 1 and 2 IgG more accurate than the combined test?
I was tested for HSV with a combined test after 12 weeks after 6 months, and it is negative.
Is is safe to say that I don’t have genital herpes or are these tests not accurate? I’ve read that the type specific tests are better.
