My wife had STD testing in November and it came back negative for herpes. I was with a swinging partner a month before who later told me she tested positive for herpes. If I contracted it, would it have shown on my wife’s blood test in November, even if she had no symptoms and I had not symptoms?
Yes. Herpes antibodies can be detected for most people 2 weeks after infection. Id retest in a month though to be positive.

Symptoms could show up anywhere from 2 day- infinity. sometimes symptoms will never show up. The blood test is the most accurate and will detect if the body cane into contact with herpes. If the results are postive she would have herpes despite not having any outbreaks (symptoms). I was just saying to retest to be 100% sure.
