I have these sores on my labia majora.. I went to get a blood test done. My results came back negative then the doctor said I was postive in the past which makes no sense because 1. no I wasn’t 2.Herpes doesn’t go away. So I went to urgent care and the doctor said that it means herpes is dormant… She checked my sores and said yes these are herpes lesions… You can’t be dormant and have an outbreak… Anybody suggest anything
So you can have a asymptomatic herpes and then have an outbreak.
Someone with herpes doesn’t have constant sores or blisters. They go away and people can be outbreak free forever. Your raised levels on the blood test probably meant that you do have antibodies towards the virus which could have meant yours was dormant, but you have been incontact with it at some stage.. Some people will be dormant forever. Some will then go on to have outbreaks.
If I were you I’d get your sores swabbed. They do look kind of herpatic.
