Hey y’all, minor raised white patch on tip of penis...has me kinda worried.

It has been there for a long time, my best estimate would be ~6 months but I'm not completely sure could have been longer, could have been shorter. It doesn't itch, and it hasn't grown. I had sex almost exactly one year ago, and again around a month ago, both times unprotected but both times with girls who take their health seriously, and the first one got tested right before.

I have a feeling it's benign but if it's not I definitely want to know. Thanks.

If you are referring to those white bumps on the rim of the glans, those are called Penile Pearly Papules which are normal and harmless. According to healthline.com:

Pearly penile papules, also known as hirsutoid papillomas, are small, skin-colored bumps that form around the head of the penis. A papule is a raised, pimple-like growth on the skin that does not produce pus. While these tiny bumps may seem alarming, they are harmless and will tend to fade in appearance as you age.

Nothing to worry about.

Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I read about those and that relieved me fir the little ones around, but that bigger white spot has me more concerned. It looks like an excess of white blood cells or something. Is it a bunch of Papules grouped together or something more serious you think? I’m getting an appointment to get tested for STDs soon, but jeez I’ve been paranoid for a little while. I also understand you’re not a medical professional so don’t feel pressured to answer.

Nah bro those are chillin. those are called pearly penile papules and they arent sexually transmitted and they are absolutely harmless. just maintain hygiene. hope this relieved you a bit Haha they can totally seem bad at first.

I suggest you get a visual check of the area when you get tested, it is possible this is a type of wart, or potentially a skin condition - you need a visual, not just the STD tests

Hi,
well with any new marks or bumps they should be checked wherever on the body. you’re a photo is not great but to me it does look a little bit like lichen sclerosus or lichen Planus in the early stages the fact that you have it 6 months it’s probably not a fungal infection because it would spread much quicker. do you have any other marks on your foreskin or frenulum? maybe I’m wrong but my advice would be to have a checked anyway.

Late reply here, but i had an on-the-phone appointment with a doctor and i described my symptoms and he said due to the face that it hasnt grown, hasnt turned red, and doesnt itch (unless i irritate it somehow) it is benign and i dont need to do anything to it.
however, i still might try some kind of over the counter steroid cream..but i dont know yet.
