Hi there everyone
Hope you are all not feeling too bad. Still have not seen anyone ie back specialist or rumatologist. The pain in my back shoulders and knees is getting worse, simple things like lifting a kettle or a bag of shopping now hurt.
The doctor has now got me on the higher strength co-codomal and diclophenic, but to top it all I have now even more trouble walking as I have developed a golf ball sized lump on the bottom of my foot, the one that has had all the surgery, just down from my heal, so I have been refered back to see my surgeon again on the 22nd of oct, hopefully it will be nothing too bad but they think it might be a ruptured ligament or something similar !!!!!!
If it is not one thing it is another with aches pains and unexplained lumps
Hope everyone is having a better time of it than I am. I will let you all know how i get on.
Love and best wishes to everyone

Hi Helen
Good to see you back on the site! You have been having a rough time again with your foot.
Were you told how long it would be before you saw a Rheumatologist or back specialist. I only had to wait three months but no some of the others on here have waited or are still waiting a lot longer than that
I hope they find out what is the matter with your foot when you go to see then on 22nd oct and it can be sorted out for you.
I am waiting to see a podiatrist and it has alreay been two months. My doctor told me there is a long waiting list but didn't say how long lol  Gave me some cream for my big toes as I am having trouble with the tendons.
We always seem to be waiting around for one thing or the other.
Hope you hear something soon from Rheum. I go for my second appointment with rheum on 30th October. Don't know what they will do this time. It will be for the fibro and the OA.
Come back soon and let us know how you got on!

I have not been told how long it would be before I saw a specilist but my gp says it could be up to six months but as my surgeon refered me I will ask him when I see him next wednesday.
I have had a conversatin with his specalist nurse who thinks it could be either ruptured ligaments or a benign tumor that if is less than the size of a penny would cause no problems but mine is nearly 3 cm in diameter so I guess this is not good!!!!!! but will know for sure next week.
Am not sleeping too badly at the moment am only waking about three times a night at the moment but am finding things like housework ie hoovering and things still very painfull in my back and shoulders.
My pain killers do not eleviate the pain but just take the edge off it but make me feel woosy and sometimes light headed, and as for the diclophenic what exactly are they supposed to do?
Any way hope you are all feeling well and not in too much discomfort today .
Love and best wishes to you all

Hi Helen
Well hope you don't have to wait to long as it sounds really painful!
Diclofenic is an anti inflammatory tablet that is suppose to help with pain and ease inflammation. I tried those with my OA but didn't seem to take any swelling down for me. I had to stop anti inflammatory tablets all together as irritated my stomach lining and caused acid reflux. Not a very pleasant thing to have on top of everything else. So I don't take any now.
We take one thing for the pain but like you say it then makes you feel really tired and woozy and you still can't do what you want!
Will be thinking about you on Wednesday and hope they say it is not going to be too long before you are seen.
Take care
