Well done you, it takes a lot of guts, when I went to the gym few years back for the first time I was hiding at the back of the class. I too hadn't really done any exercise for years either. I still go to various classes on my own, say hi and a bit of general chat to a few people who attend the same classes. Don't necessarily enjoy but make myself go cos it is suppose to make you feel better.
You keep going you might suprise yourself at how well it will make you feel. I am so glad you still went, the second time will be a lot easier. Have you an ipod so you can listen to your favorite music while exercising, I find that helps too.

You've done the hardest bit, nothing wrong with feeling a bit nervous that's natural when doing something new. Just remember to warm up and cool down stretches. I assume you had an introductory session being shown how to use the machines. You go girl, I'm proud of you.
