Hi I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago and am really struggling to loose weight any one else?

Hey I'm really struggling to loose weight post gallblader surgery I'm at my wits end it's really starting to depress me! Is anyone else experiencing this at all?

I haven't had my gallbladder out yet but there are a few things you could get checked that inhibit weight loss. Hypothyroidism, low vit d, magnesium, vitamin c or iron and adrenal fatigue. Also if you don't eat enough calories for your body size it may think its starving and refuse to shed the weight.

Well what are you eating? I may have a gallbladder problem and my weight has dropped like a rock ever since I changed diet. Everything is boiled or steamed and I have cut out red meat and pork completely. Also avoiding starchy foods help. I haven't exercised at all in this weight loss process and I have lost nearly 30kgs in 6 months. Still this may be because of my gallbladder. I'm not sure. Still I know of people who are struggling also even after their gallbladder has been removed. I think if you're drinking coffee or tea cut it out of your diet and replace it with water and fruit. This should help.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have Crohns so you would expect the weight to drop off but it doesn't. I've taken loads of steroids over the years and the weight I gained stubbornly refuses to budge. I've had my gallbladder out but unlike others I can eat pretty much anything so not on a restricted diet. I dont overeat but nothing makes a difference.
