Hi, I'm new here , please share the experience

I am new here. My name is Milan, I'm 40 years old, I'm diagnosed in the 2nd stage of arthritis in my hips associated with hypermobility syndrome. The pain begins now with colder weather.

To that, I work at a private rehabilitation clinic in Prague, so I meet everyday patients with heavy arthritic conditions. So what is coming through my mind is, who help you with the Prevention? Yes, I'm most interested now how to prevent arthritis, how to slowing down the symptoms of arthritis. I am interested in diet and light exercise. I like to start to do the yoga. Does somebody have a positive experience?

Milan,

Exercise will help pain. If you do yoga or pilates, use an elliptical walker or exercise bike, aerobics, you will benefit. Exercise builds muscle, strong muscle is needed to ease pain. Those who exercise normally mange pain better and will not have pain after their hip op.

Hi. I tried to keep up my walking. Even with a tramping pole on bad days. I also found that if I kept my core strong and did the advanced hip recovery exercises it helped before hand.

Hi Jen,

Thank you very much for your answer. Yes, I'm with you, that exercise will help manage the pain. But still, I think If I will do some wrong exercises, that I can even harm my joints - in this case, Hips.

The best way is to find a good physiotherapist.

HI Denise,

thank you for advice, that is true, I will start with more walking. It can't be harmful. I do working behind the computer all day.
