I have just started taking paxil 10mg for 5 days before taking 5mg the week before. I woke up middle of night with panic attack . I am shakey and anxious Is this normal?

Hi there, sorry nobody as replied. I am going to start doing the same soon. I think it is normal with any SSRI. Im going do what your doing. 5.to 10 soon. For Anxiety and slight depression.

Hi Kara, yes I feel terrible after increasing from 10 to 20mg paroxetine. Shakey, very anxious, weepy, nauseous, drowsy, palpitations. Got to stick with it though because it worked for me before.

Hi jackie , how long until you felt better at 10mg ? I have gad and it’s helping I think for that but Iightheaded and nauseated on my 7th day going up on 10mg. Thanks

Hi Rob,

I took 10 mg for two weeks, still felt terrible so increased to 20mg. After a week I felt better and after two weeks I felt fine, although my hands were shakey first thing in the morning, this has now stopped.
