Hot guys first time. I am 9 weeks post-op now. But after six weeks my surgeon said I can sleep on my stomach. Been sleeping on my stomach for the last 3 weeks no issues. I have noticed that no one else is sleeping on their stomach.
Right I will ask him on friday, hate being on my back as it gives me back and neck pain
Hey Big Show!! Welcome!! I've never been a person to sleep on stomach. Still sleeping on my back. I want to try sleeping on side. I'm 7 weeks out tomorrow from my second surgery. Hope you continue you on the road to recovery!! 😎 LD
I couldn't do it pain in incision area! But sides and back now are good! I am 5 months out from surgery!!!
Oh how I would love to be able to sleep on my stomach. I was told to wait 12 weeks. I suppose all surgeons have different ways.
Wished I had been allowed too. My back was killing me after 6 weeks of laying on my back at night. I was allowed to lay on unoperated side at 6 weeks with a ppillow, stomach was never mentioned. Still a year on i can lay on operated side at night, but my brain won't let me roll over. I have to sit up and change position. Keep up the good recovery.

Sorry - it has never been my position. I've always been a side sleeper with pillow between my legs. Sleeping on my back has been really tough but easier with my 2nd through.

Hi, I assumed that I had to sleep on my back---from the booklet they gave me. I had the lateral approach. And at week 4 was told that I could have slept on my stomach right away after the operation, and that they were revising the booklet. I wish I had done so before week 4, since like many others, sleeping on my back was one on the more difficult things.
I was told for 12 weeks I was not allowed to sleep on my stomach. That is how I normally sleep. I have been sleeping on my non operated side/hip, with that stupid pillow between my legs. I cant sleep on my back. My sleeping has improved (9 wks post op, posterior).
i will resume sleeping on my stomack at 11 wks before I go back to work !!!
Rich what kind of pillow do you use for side sleeping? LD🤔

I am am finishing my 2nd week post my 2nd through. Never, ever, ever would have believed Graham - bit I am enjoying sleeping on my back this time around. And now I can't really believe I just wrote that either!

Do you mean the pillow between my legs ? If so, I just use a regular pillow that I would use for me head when I go to sleep.
Lol yes the one between your legs! 😆 Ok I thought it was a special pillow. Thanks. I'm trying to sleep on my side but haven't yet. I'm a lil scared. LD
