Hi! I have these tension headaches almost daily. They tend to stay on the right side of my head, but every now and then they will get so bad that my neck feels stiff, and my head feels so heavy that it seems as if it's going to fall off my shoulders any minute. I went to my eye doctor. He did a regular exam and a field test just to be sure. Everything came out okay. I tend to get dizzy with mine as well. The only thing that helps me is laying down. I will say that I'm on 50mg of Zoloft and I haven't had the headache today. I'm on weeks two so hopefully it will kick in full force soon. God bless!
Yes you can trust her. Anxiety can after some time, or in case of major anxiety, lead to tension headaches. If you are anxious, your entire body tenses up and your body also becomes exhausted. If you feel you have a brain tumor get it checked out by a Neurologist. I thought I had one too I get severe Migraines.
Take care and Hope you feel better👍
Hi I've always had tension headaches due to anxiety, also tension in back, neck, and jaw at worst. Co codamol gave me rebound headaches, so therefore had permanent headache. I stopped cocodamol but if your taking a lot you can feel ill stopping them abruptly. Muscle tension is really uncomfortable but I try to put up with it, know it's part and parcel with anxiety❤️
Hi. I also suffer badly with health anxiety. Several years ago I had a tension headache for three weeks straight. Every single day. I was on holiday abroad for most of this time so I could not even visit a doctor. My anxiety was through the roof and I was convinced I had a brain tumour. When I eventually saw my GP he diagnosed tension headaches and gave me some neck exercises to do which cleared the headache up within a day. Very often when we are anxious we tense the neck muscles without realising and this can lead to ongoing headaches. It's a viscous cycle because the more you worry, the more tense you become and the more the headache will persist!
