Hi, I've been suffering with GAD for a while now, but mainly been worrying about my health. I had a constant very high heart rate over 100bpm and was given Propranolol (8x10mg tablets a day) to contain it although I am also on 80mg per day of Clomipramine to control my anxiety levels. On the propranolol tablets, my heart rate is around the 70bpm mark until it wears off and my heart rate then climbs to around 100bpm. I'm 17 and I'm just wondering whether this is normal. I mean, I don't get nearly as anxious about things as I used to and I'm not worrying about anything specific to do with my health like I used to do so is this just normal and something that will get better over an extended period of time or something else?
I'd be checking with a doctor, not sure how normal it is but you don't want to mess with your heart
Thanks, my doctor listened to my heart and said it was fine a few months ago but I'm pretty sure only an ECG will show up most problems so I'll get one booked up
good idea, I had heart palpitations but I am pretty sure it was because a bottle of pills from the US was contaminated with another chemical...when I finished the pills the palpitations stopped, but I did get a heart test done jsut in case...
