Planning for my hip surgery we got the high seat. My husband made a wee wee mess with it. Any suggestions on how men use them. Perhaps it is too high for him to sit on.
He probably just needs to stand if using it. Just sent quick question as I was not in the mood to clean. Anyway if you do have tips- great. Best of luck to everyone. Hippies!
Just unclip it, or use a cushion type for your use it is only for a short time, just try a cushion one they are on offer atm for about £10.
Kind regards Ian.
I purchased a new toilet height 17 inches.
that works better than the high seat.
thanks- will do
yea, but we are renting. thanks
It's either a case of move the frame each time or make sure there is a towel handy if caught out. We had the same problem. Forever washing towels but it's not for long ☺️
Oh Marti ... I am happy that men responded - Good luck ....
Delighted you raised this - cos as a blokeYES they are pretty unworkable for a standing up pee!
After several years of marriage, I've gotten used to pee in the night sitting down, so while not ideal this works best when in the upstairs loo which has the horrible seat. Downstairs with no seat is easy!
My raised seat had several adjustable heights, so I lowered them one aweek for three weeks, then dumped the seat, sitting down carefully as instructed. no probs

Never seen this mentioned but yes they are difficult to use for us males - make sure you sit as far back as possible and 'direct' as best you can. Nightmare at first but do get used to it eventually.
thank you. gotta train the hubby
thanks Mic, he took it off today but it is ok as I'm working. we will figure it out.
oh great
Sure am glad we tried it out before surgery. so many things to think about. Love this site!
I have a very simple solution, I would have him pee in a mason jar and then just pour it into the toilet. Or my elderly father had a male portable/hand held urinal by his bed, you know the kind it is like a big plastic cup but shaperd ergonomicaly for men.
