Hip ops in France

Hi

I live in the south-west of France (the Tarn departement) and had a hip op two weeks ago in Toulouse.

Is there anyone else out there also living in France, who has had the op recently?

Sorry, I'm in the UK, but wish you all the best, Judith

hi glynis,

warm welcome to the hippies forum where we share our personal stories and experiences ... we come in all ages and stages on this journey and from all over the world -

I am in Holland -

you know that you can always come here when you have questions or concerns, right?

How are you doing otherwise?

Hi Glynis

My nearest is an anterior cruciate in Thonon and a plastic head of the radius in Brussels. But my experience of French hospitals was good. Hope they are looking after you well.

Mike

Many thanks for the hug!

I'm doing fine, but need to be patient, just need to listen to my body.

Glynis

Great care, thank you.

Hi glynis

i am in Scotland good luck with your recovery I am nearly ten weeks post operation welcome to the forum we are all at different stages of recovery and you will get plenty of good advice . Take care of yourself and try to be patient 😀

Hello Glynis

I have had both hips replaced, a LTHR in February 2015 and a RTHR in March 2016. Both operations were performed in Vesoul, Franche Compte. I have been living and working in France since 1989. This weekend I will be working near Toulouse.

All the best

Nick

Bonjour voisinne!

I live on the south west coast of France in the Charente Maritime. I have recently had both my hips replaced in a French clinic at St Georges de Didonne, Royan by an excellent lady orthopaedic surgeon.

The care and everything was exceptional.

I hope you are doing well.

bon matin ,

Thanks for your reply.

Doing fine now, thank you.  This morning I go back to work for the first time.  I'm an English teacher and one of my private students is coming for her morning session.  Looking forward to it.

Hope you are going along nicely too.

Hi Glynis

How lucky you are being able to work from home. In both cases I didnt go back to work for months afterwards. It kinds of cuts you off from the rest of the world.

As Gwen I can't praise all the people who looked after me enough. Superb service  and kindness by everyone.

good luck with your recovery

Nick

Hi Nick

Yes, very lucky, and I can pick and choose how much to do.  Just finished this morning's lesson and I feel energised!

Hope you are enjoying life now.

Glynis
