Hip pain for over 6 months, please advise

Hi, hope someone can help.

While doing a routine warm up (rotating my hips clockwise, anticlockwise similar to footballers) I felt a very small faint “pinch” or tiny movement in my left hip. A day or two later and ever since (6 months or more) I’ve had quite a lot of pain in my left hip when I wake up and after a long walk. Around the house, sitting down there is no pain.
I had a phone consultation with a Physio but was just sent various stretches. I do similar stretches anyway due to some lower back pain I had years ago so nothing has changed.
I’ve had various similar pulls, tears etc. before but all have healed after a few months, this seems very different. Anyone know one or a few things it might be?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ross, Without seeing exactly where the pain is located, it makes it harder but, a lot of people feeling like they have hip pain, is actually higher than the actual hip joint and can be caused by the lower back …it can be a pinched nerve, or sciatica running from the lower back into the buttocks(even down the leg), feeling like hip pain…you can try topical (ANYTIME)or oral anti-inflammatories(ask DR first, ONCE IN A WHILE) heat can help the meds work better, or even alone can relax the area, before &/or after exercise…if its the back or actual hip your Dr might want to do a scan of some type or can tell you with an actual exam what it is for sure…wish I could be of more help…Good Luck, this stuff can be really frustrating, believe me, I get it…esp. right now…BEST WISHES:wedding::rainbow::paw_prints::musical_notes::infinity::peace_symbol::four_leaf_clover:
