I put this in another forum but maybe this is a better place.
A few days ago I went to the gym for the first time in months. I did use both the hip abductor and adductor machines, but I also did a bunch of upper body things, more so than my legs.
My hip only started to hurt yesterday and it hurts a lot. The rest of my body was sore but it was already going away by the time my hip started to hurt.
It hurts to move my leg a certain way and to stand or walk. The pain also seems to be radiating down my leg. The pain also kept me up last night.
Is this normal after exercising, or did I injure myself? It feels a bit different from the pain I had in my upper body from lifting weights.
Should I do some more exercises involving my hips to make my body used to it?
