Hi could anyone please help I have seen on here about a cushion that people have bought to help with the discomfort when sitting down thank you Delphine

I didn't have hip replacement, but have fractured hip and pelvis and have conservative treatment and brought a gel/foam cushion which has been amazing, always take plastic bag to car helps swivel onto seat. You can buy them online.

I drove for the first time last week in automatic, brilliant, really missed it

what kind of discomfort are you experiencing?

the golfball, sack of marbles, phone kind or  something else?

how long ago did you have THR surgery?

I just use a thick chair cushion - nothing special ..

I bought two of them on Amazon... Hermell Products Hip Cushion 16 x 18 x 4

extra thick firm support.foam, it costs about 35.00 dollars, It has a carrying strap so you can take it with you..I still use mine 17 months after LTHR.

HI thank you for your reply sounds good I have had 2 total hip replacement operation and 3weeks ago the first one I had done splintered so had to have that 're done so as I only had 2nd one this March am in a lot of discomfort they gave me a steroid injection on Friday but no help will look into gel foam thank you

Hi. I bought a pressure relieving cushion on Amazon. I had THR three and a half months ago. Took it a Rugby match at the weekend. Take it if I think I will be sitting on a hard chair. It has "aidapt" written on it.  It cost under £30 and has been well worth it!
