Just getting over a hip replacement from March, now I'm getting ready 4 the other hip replacement.

I'm never going to consent to have another one done.

Having a problem from my first THR.seven months ago

Hi I had my first one done in September I will be having my other one done in feb/march. I don't mind having it done as I will be Mobil fully then and pain free.

I wouldn't blame anyone who had a bad outcome from their first op not going through it again,I wouldn't either.

As others I'm waiting for a second THR next year,BUT I'm doing everything I can to avoid it..although i probably will go ahead with it..scaty thought !

I had mine seven months ago.Physio has shown me the psoas muscle that is deep inside the thigh.It actually starts at the ilo sacral spine then runs through the hip then meet then the  psoas runs down the middle of the thigh.

For me I still can't lift the leg to get into the car.or laying flat on my back cannot lift the op leg up off the table.So tomorrow I'll see the surgeon.I also have a medical report from the UK about this problem post op. The solution is to release that muscle. 

First I'll need a c scan to locate the place where the problem is.smile

how did it go?  and how long was the operation. i have heard different things about how long it takes, ranging from 60mins to 3hrs.i wish you a speedy recovery.. and good luck with the next replacement

3 hrs I had a lot of pain after surgery for 8 mos one day it completely stopped

I will find out tomorrow.

I can't take the pain I needed the surgery no way around it

I can lift the leg half way the surgery side. The hip that need the surgery can't lift at all. Took 8 mos to lift and raise

My sis had same surgery she had no problems, me alot, I had a back infusion may that's why it took so long to heal.

Back infusion Oct 2012 very successful.

Hope it gets better I went 8 mos in the worst pain  it finally got better

So much better finally,  it took sometime for me also my right hip now is whack

Don't let anyone tell you it's all in your head go through the pain, it will stop.

Same with me Lillie, I had no other choice but to go forth with my two THRs.  Avascular Necrosis, death of the joints.
