Hip revison after being left in pain for 3 yrs and saying there was nothing wrong

Hi Everyone  am 16 weeks post

op now after revision and tendon repair …fracture femur . I just have to thank you all for this wonderful site which has helped me …. My Consultant came around after surgery and told me after 3 yrs of pain after first hip replacement that screws had broken away the cap was loose plastic had grown into my muscles and had metallosis . MMMMM as you can imagine I was very crossed and disappointed with the NHS where I worked also had let me down... If only they would of MRI scanned me 18 months before this would of shown.

I am getting on ok but progress is a little slower than I expected , unfortunately I have pain in my buttock and its not nice so had a scan and they have said severe inflammations around the tendons so sending me for  MRI . I will keep you updated god bless you all x x Lynne

It is so gratifying to hear you are finally on the mend, if only they had scanned you earlier.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Graham

You sound as if you've really been through it I really hope that you are now heading in the right direction . Take care and best wishes sent, lynnex

Best of Luck Lynne

Oh dear Lynne that is awful...what part of the country are you from ?

Lynne, you have suffered so much unnecessarily. Glad you got the revision and tendon repair. They should NOT have waited to long to do the imaging which revealed your problems. That is so wrong! So sorry about the severe inflammation around your tendons. Do keep us posted! Hope you get all the way better very soon. ❤️ 🌸 🌞

Lynne

Glad that you finally got the hip repaired. Recovery is a bit slower after a revision. I hope the mri scan doesn't find any further problems.

Mike

SH*T!

Inflammation in/near the tendons.

D*MN

Take care of your tendons, tendonitis is very painful and if it doesn't heal it turns into tendonosis. Be thankful that they can at least see it.

Knowing what you have is the first step in treatment, so you have that going for you.

Inflammation can be knocked back with the right drugs so try to be hopeful.

I wish you the BEST!

Wishing you all the best Lynne.

I live in Bristol England joined this site as they are so lovely and they listen x where are you from pennypops
