Has anyone had their THR delayed due to low sodium levels. If so, did you take any steps to increase the level ?
strangely i developed low sodium after surgery and a doctor suggested meds but my surgeon advised salt on my next meal and it worked for me ! probably not the same before an op though .
my blood test few days before op came back was low sodium . Was advised eat a bag of crisps before re test it did the trick
Hi, thanks for your reply. I think that lower sodium levels are fairly common after surgery. Good tip though.
I did suggest upping my salt intake (which is pretty low) to my GP but he didn’t think it was diet related for some reason.
Will add crisps and a little more salt to my diet before the next test in a few days. Fingers crossed.
I had my hip replacement last Thursday got up to day and can feel the new hip pushing against my leg is this something that you have to expect
Pushing against your leg where…and in what way? I don’t think you should feel anything except where your stitches are.
Some people do say they feel as if there is a golf ball inside them, I am not sure if that is the same thing.
it is more swelling as can walk on it and and it is at the top of my cut most pain I am getting is across my thigh and knee
