I hope someone can shed some more info or experience with me. I really would appreciate u comments
thank you in advance
Hi Hippster,
warm welcome to this wonderful forum of hippies -
I am sorry but don't really understand your question ...
Did you have 2 hip surgeries and instead of a replacement, the surgeon wired
it ? I don't know what that means ... was it to relieve the bursitis and is your joint still good ?
or did you have a Total Hip Replacement and why did he wired it?
do you mind sharing a little bit more?

Sorry I was so unclear. I had two total Hip replacemetns 11 years apart. My hip was starting to come out nad dislocated twice before i redid the surgery. Both surguries used the wire around the hip Its a method that was taught in England where my dr trained.
I do think that this wire is in my " way" and am afraid I will have to go back to the surgeon to remove it. I understand that there is no guarantee of course that this will help. Some people have been relieved of this pain.
I would love to hear from someone who also had this issue
Thanks R for your input
more confused now .... handstrung responded but Hippster started the discussion ...
I just had 2 straight forward THR surgeries within 6 months - there is no wiring but do have trochanteris bursitis in right hip ....
Have you seen your surgeon if this could be the cause of your bursitis -
that is tough though ---
