Hi everyone,
I hit the top of my head hard on my shower handle in the bathroom on Tuesday gone, it hasn’t bruised and no bump from what I can feel but I’m just so worried, I suffer with anxiety anyway and can’t stop panicking, I didn’t pass out or bleed and I’ve spoke to my GP over the phone on the Wednesday who asked me some diagnostic questions and said not to worry but everyday I seem to be worrying more and more doesn’t help that I’m literally sitting thinking of nothing else so have myself thinking I have all these scary symptoms, I’m also 38 weeks pregnant and don’t want to be so anxious when I’m going to be having my baby soon, just can’t stop worrying! Has anyone else had a clumsy head hitting moments?
absolutely. People bang their heads all the time by accident and 99% of the time everything is OK.
things to look for would be having bad headaches, vomiting, confusion, losing consciousness, nausea, difficulty using your arms and legs. That’s when you should see the doctor right away. doesn’t sound like you’re experiencing any of these.
see how do you feel each day. At least your doctor doesn’t seem concerned so that’s good. If you develop any unusual symptoms, contact your doctor again. Hopefully everything will be OK! To relax, listen to some great meditations on YouTube for anxiety. They really help me . ![]()
I would go and get checked for concussion. Look for symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, confusion, tremors. If you get these symptoms see a doctor immediately. Its most likely a good hit on the nogging and nothing to worry about. I hit my head all the time because i am a clutz. Your head is very hard and its built to take punishment. I would not worry too much about it, especially after calling the GP and him giving you the ok. I am sure the baby is fine and everything is going to be fine. If you still question it, i am sure you could call your GP and he could run some tests. But you would know by now if you had a concussion or any other problem, so relax. Your being over anxious is not good for the baby and you’re going to stress it out and make it have anxiety too if you dont relax.
