So i made a mistake and got drunk on the 24th of February on a trip with my friend. had sex with someone and DID use a condom. 2 weeks later got a panel done just in case and HIV was included and everything came back negative. on the 14th of this month woke up with a sore throat and runny nose (no body or joint aches, no fever, no fatigue) a very small ulcer under my tongue (Ive had them several times in the past) mind you my friend is currently recovering from a lung infection and my brother just got over the flu last week. my question is what is the accuracy of a HIV Combo Pt 2 weeks after potential exposure.
If you used a condom you were protected. In that case, no testing is warranted.
I don’t understand the correlation you are trying to indicate for your brother’s and friend’s sickness?
Your symptoms seems unspecific to HIV ARS and it doesn’t mean any thing, since you didn’t have a risk.
Testing accuracy and window period doesn’t apply to you since you were protected, any time you take a test, it going to be accurate for you.
the correlation of my brother and friend being sick was mainly because of the time frame from “incident to symptoms” 2 weeks post and i got sick. of course me being a “google doctor” i immediately thought hiv flu. i very much appreciate your feedback though
