Hello, I spent four days in hospital last week with inflamed gallbladder. This is the first time bthis has happened.
I have been told that I will get a follow up appointment in four to six weeks. We are booked to go away to Austria in five weeks. My husband wants to cancel. I am slowly recovering but still feel washed out. I am sticking to low fat meals as instructed. Although the bad pain has gone I get a few niggles now and then.
Anyone got any advice on going on holiday?
Personally I would agree with your husband but that’s only because I know how bad I felt after my gallbladder was infected too. Ended up admitted again 6 weeks later with the same thing and got the gallbladder removed on that admission.
I was going to book holiday but something told me not to. I’d contacted my travel insurance company and they wouldn’t cover the gallstones or any gallbladder related problem if I had gone away.
I’d contact your travel insurance company and see if you’ll be covered. That way you know where you stand. Hope you get your gallbladder removed soon and feel better so you can continue with travel plans without any worry xx
