I would try something like doctor on demand where you can talk to a doctor from your computer also they have therapists you can talk to . Most insurance covers it and if you don't have insurance you can find some fairly cheap
I understand how you feel. I'm the same way I have a fear of going out in public. I hope someone will respond as I don't know why I'm like this. Hope we can get some good advice. Sorry I can't help you but I do feel what you are feeling.
I was that way for years . You have to be able to get your mind in a place where you find peace . I had to start forcing myself daily to go a little further . You have to do exposure therapy . While telling yourself nothing is going to happen to you. Are you on any kind of medication ?
Sorry to hear this it is scary feeling like this. Are u taking or have u taken any meds? Some have these side effects.
Hello
Sorry you are struggling. It's correct what txtatoodmommy said, you do need exposure therapy. I have a similar issue where if I'm too far from my house or car then I panic so I do try to push myself a little when I go out but I understand how hard it is. Chances are nothing will happen to me when I'm out, I'm more worried about having a panic attack. It's the fear of panic. I've started reading a book recommended to me called feel the fear but do it anyway. It's definitely the way to go. We need to keep telling ourselves that we can do it, almost retraining our brains I suppose because it's our mind that's got us into this position in the first place. Everyday repeat a positive mantra and everyday take a few extra steps off your land. You can do it, we all can! Let me know how you get on.
Try reading this book: Anxiety & Phobia Workbook (6th edition). It is sooo interesting and veryyy helpful, and it gives links to their website where you can download audio meditations and breathing techniques too. You can get it off amazon so you don't even need to leave your house lol.
Also, if you can get yourself to leave the house, I HIGHLY suggest seeing a therapist (specifically one who specializes in anxiety). I had what you had, agoraphobia, and I started forcing myself to go see a therapist and it helped a lotttt. I still have anxiety but I no longer have the agoraphobia and I'm able to go where I please for the most part. The therapist really helped me rationalize my worries and also understand them better too.
i take xanax at night to sleep and trazadone and l also take breathing meds (spriva, combivent, singular and provental. But I've been on these meds for years. I can't take anti depressents because they make me suicidal and I'm 20 miles from anywhere. Thanks for replying.
