Recently got informed I had hsv 1 which caused me to have a severe genital herpes outbreak most painful thing I have ever had to endure. Not sure how I got it but I am engaged we haven't had protected sex since we been together and he says whether he has it or not sex will not change. Will I still be able to have children like normal people with hsv 1 or will it be harder to get pregnant I just want to brute informed.. Should I eat differently drink differently what should I do?
Hey i got diagnised with type 2 in november but had a very severe outbreak nobody will ever know where or when they got it.
But i would say build your immune system up this will help with future outbreaks if you get them foods that are naturally red like red grapes cherries ect tgey have something in them that helps with your immune system aswell as vitamins so i would start taking vitamins as soon as you can you can some especially for immune system
In terms of getting pregnant you will be fine herpes doesnt stop you getting pregnant nor does it make it harder when you do get pregnant just let your midwife know you have herpes and she will advise you with the best things to do and if you have an outbreak while you are pregnant you will be fine if it is close tonyour due date tell them as soon as you realise your having an outbreak. They dont want blisters and sores when you give birth sometimes it can be dangerous for baby if they catch it from you but can only get it if you give birth during an outbreak.
Other then that hun you will be fine to help with the pain though take salt baths just a handful of normal salt in you bath water it soothes is and helps clean it tea tree oil will help too and will dry them up and help heal them x
Yes Pixie said it already but it is very important to understand that you can give herpes to your baby.
It's how many people get the virus. Just Google "hsv and birth" and you can read many posts about it.
