Hope the powers of be are reading our messages

it would be disaterous if we lost this forum, just because some ITjerk could not get it right, why mess around with something that works.

we ahll need each other. sorry about spelling folks, fingers still abit sore

i agree! where did everyone go? did they abandon ship? i follow another forum but its mostly social. this is the one i depend upon for help when needed.

i Completely agree!!!

Lynda is that you at last , i hope all went well for you, and things are getting better after the fires.

The changes made a few months ago have been a disaster. You'd think they'd have worked things out by now. on the plus side I now find it really easy to keep up!

yes Margaret, it's me😁. I'm sooo sorry I've kinda dropped off the grid, I've just been pretty sick (and continue to be). doc thinks my heart may be involved in all this mess. tests in 2 wks. besides that, I've got some personal problems goin on with my oldest daughter....won't bore you w/details. other than that, everything's Peachy!! I've missed so many of you guys....I'll try to keep up better! thanks for remembering me!

i also have been struggling to keep up with this lovely forum's " NEW" system

like others, i also feel its a shame that many folks, like myself who have pmr , have taken a step back from posting as its complicated and not productive for sick people.

Eileen, is like th Captain of a ship , she will be the last one to desert ...kind soul

please admin try and get the obvious problem sorted

well if you can now and again drop us all a line to know how you doing.take care. mags

We must all stick together and not let them beat us, and as you say Eileen is so valuble to us all.

The HU forum is a bit manic at times and VERY social. However, if you start a thread because you need help, you get it and possibly better than here. Partly because there are more of us and it is totally international with people available 24/7.

Me too!!!!!!!

I've heard that the requests we made were passed on and were to be acted on but have been shelved to allow work on other parts of the website. Which reinforces the message I get that the forums are now regarded as second class and that they tried to do too much, too soon and with people who possibly didn't know what they were doing - and certainly didn't think of potential consequences.

For a time I used to look at HU as well as here but then stopped as I was ok with this one. Completely arbitrary choice, just didn't see the point of doubling up.

However, like so many I've become fed up with the pointless and confusing ""improvements" on here and if they are looking at our complaints they are certainly not acting on them.

As I finally came to the end of my " must do" list ( car insurance/service/tax....all in one month! ), sort out tariffs coming to an end ditto ISAS clear up after Christmas... well, you get the picture... I decided to have another look at HU and, although I have not used it for months I could see straight away that I'd be comfortable with using it again so I hope no one decides to update it.

Pity they don't have a System Restore button on here, as I've said before.

lynda, we do remember you and that's what makes all the confusing changes that have been inflicted on us so annoying and upsetting. It's the same feeling as when a Christmas card doesn't come from someone we always hear from. Your first thought is " What's wrong?"

Hope your life settles down to a more comfortable place soon.

I havent abandoned it yet; its just that scrolling through all the non-PMR posts when you are looking for help on a bad day can be off-putting. i do get help when i have posted.

BettyE...hi and thanks so much for your post! Sometimes, you begin to wonder if you've mattered to folks, but gratefully, many of you are proving me wrong! I promise I'll bring everyone up to date when I've got more info! In the mean time, please keep me in your thoughts....I Really miss you guys!......it's just one of those Crummy times right now.....luv ya!

Like others I have been wondering if you are ok, Lynda, but because of the ongoing problems with this forum I thought that you may have given up in frustration. Glad you haven't but it's not very user friendly at present. I live in hope!!

Oh yes - November is our month for everything to be due, followed in Feb or so with the equivalent of MOT! Then that little number called xmas in the middle...

But they are relatively easy to avoid unless you have a compulsion to read every post (as I do)! I do wish they could have two parallel worlds - like the NE forum set up. But if you want help without the fluff - start a new thread and I guarantee to answer!

Thank you, eileen. Your help has been immeasurable. i have been saving up a lot of questions, will post soon.

I thought I was getting on a site that would discuss, give experiences and advice on PMR, not a social site. There are plenty of the latter out there as well as face-to-face social encounters
