So i finally got the doctor to schedule me with a cardiologist. ive done an echo, stress test, and a holter monitor. i saw the cardiologist after the holter monitor and he told me i had premature ventricular contractions. i had 49 of those in a 24 hour period. but he also said that he has oatients with 10,000-12,000 of those in 24 hours, but he wouldnt give me a diagnoses until he looks at the echo and stress test. i visit with him on the 21st to get a diagnoses. so far he said it seems like something other than my heart is causing the PVC. he said chronic stress and anxiety is a big factor, so this all might boil down to nothing more but anxiety. i still have a lot of trouble with my stomach and chest. the heavy feeling i get after eating, not being able to breathe when i sit down after a meal, waking up at night gasping for air and getting these head rushes. having hot flashes, shakiness, numbness in throat and face, tingling tongue, butterfly feelings in stomach and chest, along with the thud feeling in my chest from the PVC. if all of this is due to anxiety then i have a long road ahead of me. i still have and appointment with an ENT specialist in December and will be scheduled for a CT Scan when i meet with my practitioner in a couple of weeks. lets hope for the best.
Dear friend,
I think you are doing the right thing seeking professional advice to identify the exact causes of your medical concerns.
However some tests are not without risk, which adds to anxiety, which worsens symptoms, which adds to anxiety and so on.
My advice after suffering chronic anxiety on and off for 8 years would be, when your results come back clear focus on getting your mind better (Anxiety) .
My story in a nutshell was and is a self perpetuating hellish mixture of anxiety and symptoms.
Bad headaches
CT Brain scan and meds
Was probs anxiety
Tight odd feeling in throat
6 endiscopies (camera up nose and down throat)
2 Gastroscopues (Camera in mouth down to stomach)
5 biopsies
All clear Anxiety related - Phatyngeal spasm or Globus as it used to be known.
Palpitations
24hr ECG and ultra sound heart scan
All clear probs Anxiety
Feeling like I needed a pee often
Bladder scan and camera
All clear probs Anxiety
Panic attacks
Requiring emergency services
ECG, blood pressure, blood sugar etc
All clear Anxiety related
I have been prescribed pretty much all available anxiety and depression medications at some point.
The list can go on and on and on
It is your journey my friend but please learn from my story and know the crippling effects anxiety can cause on the body before you instantly think it is something worse before getting it checked. . .

Same here had almost everything above done, still going though anxiety and depression daily, age 58, worst is internal treamberling,
Hey there! From the symptoms you described, my guess would be that it is just anxiety. I myself have had those most of those symptoms before, and much more. It’s amazing what your mind can do to your body physically.
- I sometimes find myself almost hoping that a physical symptom I have is NOT anxiety bc then I could just take medicine or something like that, and the issue will go away for good. Whereas anxiety there is no “cure” you can just take to get rid of it, and you have to work really hard every day at it. A lot of times it’s definitely not the easier diagnosis.
- I see a therapist for my anxiety and it helps me a lot. Have you considered seeing anyone for yours?
