My Dr put me on 30mg Mirtazapine about 6 weeks ago, he then increased it to 45mg about 3 weeks ago. The side effects have been horrendous, nausea, diahroea, increased anxiety to the point I can't cope anymore! Have been given anti sickness tablets this morning. Am seeing mental health nurse specialist this afternoon, I can not tolerate this medication, I was on Trazadone before along with diazepam, on that I was functioning, now I'm in the worst possible place! Has anyone else been through this?
Hi Karen, I think there is a sub thread all about Mirtazapine but the side effects should have worn off by now or has it been since increasing the dose.
You should have been feeling better by now so am wondering what the mental health nurse has suggested as clearly this medication is not suited to you.

The Mental health nurse has agreed this medication is not for me, have to taper off and then start Escitalopram at 10mg, I'm praying they will be more suited.
Escitaopram has some very good reviews so I hope you get on well with it. Neil
