Horrible anxiety/depression symptoms.

I've been dealing with this extra horrible anxiety lately, now going on 2 weeks. I'm a 24 year old mom with a toddler and it's making it very hard to go through the day feeling like I am. My biggest issue is persistent dizziness and lightheadeness. I feel like I'm floating or something. I'm super tense and have had really bad head and eye pressure and head rushes along with a mild headache. I get really nauseated at times, and get super shaky. I can't look forward to my day because I know I'm gonna wake up feeling like crap. I'm just tired of feeling like I'm dying. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow to see if I can change my dose on my antidepressant but I'm nervous about having to even leave the house feeling this way. :( I guess I just need some reassurance.

hello, so sorry to hear what you are going through. All of us fellow anxiety/depression sufferers understand exactly what you are going through. Fear is a big driving factor and sometimes laying out your fears specifically..maybe writing them down, can be a way to face the fear. So what I will do is write down a specific scenario like losing my mind in public, everyone staring at me and I am stuck in that state forever. Sometimes after I write it and stare at it a couple of days, I will tear it up or burn it. Just doing these exercises to get your mind to face it and be less afraid over time.

Be as positive as you can as many times as you can in a day.. Even if its just for 10 minutes, see it as a win. You will get through this.. You arent alone.

bab your going to be okay its esential though you get help imeidiatly (sorry about my spelling) befor it manifests into somthing that you end up living with ! the sooner you get help the better the out come bab

I am going through the exact same thing. I often feel like I am on a boat. I take medication for my thyroid and I feel like it makes it worse.

This is an all day thing for me :frowning:

Hi HJ
There’s a very good site that I came across today that lists loads of anxiety symptoms and how to alleviate some of them. All of the symptoms you have mentioned are there. If you go to anxiety centre site and click on the sub heading anxiety symptoms, disorders, causes, treatments it brings up a huge list but further on there are loads of sub headings and if you click on them they describe why this is happening and how you can alleviate them. It’s given me a better understanding of my symptoms and I found it very reassuring.

Lately, for me too. What anti depressant do you take?

Zoloft

Have you had blood work done?
If not please ask to have your thyroid checked along with vitamin b12 and a full blood count.
All these things can be caused by anxiety but they can also be caused by having your electrolytes/vitamins out as well.
I feel worse when my potassium and magnesium levels are low (along with low iron make sure to get that checked as well)

Check out a site called heathunlocked and join the thyroid forum. They are very helpful.

I will check that out, thank you.
