I just need some reassurance that what I’m feeling is anxiety. I’m so worried I have a horrible disease or something. I’m 22 and since giving birth my anxiety has come back and it’s 100x’s worse than it’s ever been. Now the physical symptoms are taking over and it’s driving me insane. I have a headache... constantly. I’m always lightheaded, ALWAYS. Especially when standing or in public. I always have this faint feeling which is the worst. I feel like I’m in a fog all the time and have nauseas spells all the time. I had my first migraine yesterday and it sent my anxiety through the roof. I’m scared of all these head symptoms like I have a tumor or something. I’ve been on Lexapro for 6 months but it doesn’t help. I don’t know what to do. Does anyone else go through something similar? I just want to feel normal again, y’all. ![]()
You may be suffering from derealization or depersonalization. Have you read about it? Your symptoms sound like it. I feel like I’m in a fog or not in control of my own body at times. I also fear that I will go crazy. But it always passes. Sometimes not as soon as I’d like. I would talk to your doctor and tell them the lexapro isn’t helping. U might need something to treat more of the anxiety, rather than depression. Also, look up EFT tapping on you tube. I’m here if you need to talk!
Thank you! ❤️
I have heard of it. I’m sure that’s what it is. It’s just this on going dizziness I’m so stuck on.
I’m going to the doctor tomorrow I’m so sick of going and going and them trying to switch antidepressants when they do not help the panic and anxiety.
Hi dear. Did you ever try different antidepressant? Why wouldn't you talk about switching them with your doctor. Your symptoms might be connected to side effects of drugs as well as anxiety.x
Hello, I have the same exact symptoms. Since almost two years I have had the dizziness, fainting feeling, not in control of my body at times, brain fog etc. I totally understand you. Last year I even had a MRI of my brain caused at first my doctor thought it was good to rule out any major problems. At first I saw an ENT doctor caused doctor thought it was probably an ear problem or even vertigo. All tests have come back normal. All of my symptoms are realted to anxiety. My doctor prescribed Propranalol, which has helped a little, specially with shakiness, I still deal with the dizziness, it's a daily struggle. I went back to see him not too long ago and he wants me to try Prozac which I have not started yet. I try to deal with it on my own, exercising, yoga, eating healthy, meditating, but some days nothing works. I totally understand you, I also get the dizziness a lot in public places, it drives me crazy, I feel like I'm going to collapse any minute and I cannot concentrate or enjoy whatever I'm doing at the time. Oh well, I hope you get to see your doctor and get some answers, try to be an advocate of yourself and your health. Wish you the best!❤
