My grandson aged 8, went for a routine eye check up today at 1.15pm and was admitted to hospital 2hrs later. No explanation given except the opthalmic saw blurrey things behind his eyes. Thats all i know, they have kept him in and arranged an mri scan in the morning! Anybody got any idea what could be so urgent? We are confused and worried sick.
Im not sure but i hope and pray everything is ok.
We learned about a certain kind of tumor that can cause cloudiness during an eye exam or it could be an infection. How is he doing?
Hi Tif, today i spoke to optician that checked him over, she said his optic disks were cloudy/blurry and she wanted him to have emergency mri scan to rule out any thing untoward. But they didnt sedate him n he freaked out and had a massive melt down because he was frightened of the machine so thry have to re book it. So, still no answers as yet. He having an in depth eye check in morning.
I hope he is alright.

He went for his mri but freaked out n they couldnt do it so waiting for another apointment so no updare from that yet. They have given him some pain killers n they making him weird tho. Will keep you updated. Thank you.
What did they give the painkillers for?
For headaches apparently.
