Hot tempertures and high humidity make my symptons worse. Anyone else?

I am bipolar I rapid cycling with mixed states. Also recovered alcoholic with 38+ years sobriety.  I am atypical SAD.  I hate the bright sunshine, hot tempertures and high humidity.  Those days the temperature and humidity drops, I have less stifness and less fatigue. I live in Minneapolis MN USA.

Does anyone else feel better when the temperatures and humidity are lower?  Most things I read, people feel better in the heat.

Yes, have known for a long time that humidity makes me feel very low and often in pain.

But I'm also afraid of the extreme cold weather, so not often happy with it at all!  Extreme weather conditions do affect others I know, so here over on the other side of the pond we are waiting for this particular heatwave to end.

Yep. The heat is awful. Lethargy just does'nt seem a big enough word! Sometimes when I'm out my legs drag so much I worry that I'll collapse on the pavement. I've also got fluid in my legs which can be due to the pred or the pmr apparently. The heat makes them ache dreadfully. Wow, it's good to get that off my chest! I try not to moan to my partner/family and it's a relief to actually put it into words. Haven't found a cure yet but frequent cold drinks keep me awake at least if I need to remain upright for any length of time. I long for the end of this condition. Yes apparently there is an end. Just can't quite see it yet. Good luck.

It's always comforting to know I'm not the only one.  Most people seem to like the heat, sun, humidity of summer while I do better in the cloudy days of fall and winter here in Minneapolis MN and the cold! However, I have atypical SAD and many, strange side effects to most bipolar medications. One psychiatrist called me her SIDE EFFECT QUEEN!
