How can I be depressed, I am usually outgoing & sociable

I have been prescribed Citalopram, and have taken 1 a day for 4 days (upto now) but feeling nausea, dull headache, don't feel like eating or doing anything, struggling to get up in the morning.  Is this normal? Should I stick with these tablets or change?

It takes up to 6 weeks for meds to kick in and you are going to get side effects from most AD's

Stay Strong

I'm not familiar with that medicine but I do know there's always side effects. Did your doctor say you'll experience side effects right away? I was prescribed an anti-depressant a while ago but stopped because it made me feel worse after taking it for only five days. Different meds work for different people, either have to be willing to try one til it works or manage without.

Look up your meds and all the side effects that are possible to see if you are in the normal range.  These will likely pass but it does take a while for ad's to kick in.  See a therapist for a good jump start and you'll be feeling better before you know it.  Be kind to yourself and remember you are special and deserve to feel good and happy.  😎
