I feel all emotions in any given day like sad one minute and then happy and then crying and went to my doctor on Friday June 7th 2019 and he prescribed me 50mg Sertraline does this mean I am snookered for the rest of my life and does it mean this is for life now i have had a lot going on in the early years of my life and that is whay i ended up like this ...
No all it means is that you have been prescribed meds for now to help you with the symptoms. Very few people are on them for life and the idea is they help you to feel better and more able to cope in the short term whilst you seek counselling to help you with your issues.
Unfortunately our past usually catches up with until it is dealt with which is where therapy comes in. x
doctors prescribe antidepressants like sweets! take the antidepressants if you think they’ll help everyone is different. the doctor is maybe trying to help you right now. if you don’t want to take them you could try yoga, pilates, mindfulness or dealing with your childhood issues. try to find somewhere to go to discusd these issues to help you
